General Terms and Conditions of Booking

These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”), together with our Privacy Policy, govern your use of the Great Value Tourism platform and the booking of any travel experiences, tours, or packages. By accessing our website (https://greatvaluetours.com/) or completing a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. About Us

GREAT VALUE IN BOUND TOURISM L.L.C S.O.C (referred to as “Great Value Tourism,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), is a licensed tourism operator and booking platform registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (License No. 1561189). Our registered address is Office No. 208-101, Al-Khabisi, Dubai, 1111, UAE.

2. Our Role and Scope of Services

Great Value Tourism operates an automated digital booking platform offering a variety of travel experiences, including inbound activities (e.g., Dubai desert safaris, city tours) and outbound international travel (e.g., tailored Sri Lanka packages and catamaran cruises).

Depending on the specific activity booked:

  • Direct Operator: For certain local experiences, we act as the direct tour operator.
  • Commercial Agent (Intermediary): For specific outsourced activities (e.g., international hotel stays, specific boat charters, or destination management services in Sri Lanka), we act as an intermediary. In these cases, your contract for the physical activity is directly with the local supplier, and we facilitate the booking and secure payment on their behalf.

3. Booking and Contract Conclusion

  • Automated Booking: When you complete the checkout process on our website, you submit a binding offer to purchase the selected activity.
  • Confirmation: A contract is formally concluded only when you receive an automated booking confirmation and digital ticket/voucher via email. We reserve the right to reject any booking at our sole discretion (e.g., due to sudden lack of availability).
  • Accuracy: You are responsible for ensuring all details provided during checkout (names, dates, contact information) are 100% accurate.

4. Pricing and Payments

  • Instant Payment: To secure our fast, automated booking process, the full Booking Price is payable immediately upon checkout unless a specific "Reserve Now, Pay Later" option is explicitly offered for that package.
  • Currency: All transactions are processed in UAE Dirhams (AED) unless otherwise displayed. If you are paying with a foreign credit card, your bank may charge currency conversion fees.
  • Taxes: Prices displayed include the UAE Value Added Tax (VAT) under our TRN: 105212946500003. Any additional local tourist taxes (e.g., "Tourism Dirham" fees at hotels) must be paid locally by the customer.

5. Changes, Cancellations, and Refunds

To avoid misunderstandings, all cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@greatvaluetours.com.

Unless a specific tour package (such as a high-ticket Sri Lanka itinerary) explicitly states a stricter cancellation policy on its booking page, our standard cancellation policy applies:

  • Up to 24 hours before the activity starts: Full refund of the Booking Price.
  • Less than 24 hours before the activity starts: No refund.
  • No-Shows: If you fail to arrive at the designated meeting point on time, no refund will be issued.
  • Refund Processing: Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 7 to 14 business days.

6. Provision of the Activity & Customer Responsibilities

  • Punctuality: You must arrive at the designated pick-up location or meeting point at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
  • Travel Documents: For outbound packages to Sri Lanka, you are solely responsible for possessing a valid passport (with at least 6 months validity) and obtaining all necessary visas and health clearances. Great Value Tourism accepts no liability for denied boarding or entry.
  • Supplier Rights: Tour guides, safari drivers, and catamaran captains reserve the right to exclude you from an activity without a refund if your behavior is deemed unsafe, intoxicated, or disruptive to other guests.

7. Cancellations by the Operator (Force Majeure)

We or our suppliers reserve the right to cancel any activity without prior notice due to circumstances beyond our control. This includes severe weather conditions (critical for catamaran cruises and desert safaris), government restrictions, or equipment failure. In such events, you will be offered a free reschedule or a full refund of the Booking Price.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, Great Value Tourism’s liability is strictly limited to the Booking Price paid for the activity.

  • Inherent Risks: You acknowledge that certain activities (e.g., dune bashing, watersports) carry inherent risks. You participate at your own risk.
  • Third-Party Acts: We are not liable for the actions, negligence, or omissions of independent third-party suppliers, nor for any personal injury, loss of property, or death occurring during an outsourced activity. You are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or your booking, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. The competent courts of Dubai shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
